New build
Savings on Tap
A new development in Ashford, Kent installed efficient fittings (taps, dual flush toilets, aerated showers, A+ rated washing machines and rainwater butts) and tested a seasonal water tariff. A supply pressure of 5 bar meant that flow regulators had to be added to the showers to achieve the target flow rates the showers were rated at.

Flow regulation of taps and showers in a hospital
Valves limiting flow to 6 l/min were installed in a 1930’s-built hospital. 482 valves were installed on pipework servicing taps and showers. Payback was quick with estimated annual savings on energy and water bills of around £20,000.
