Water Consumption Calculators

The water calculator is a site set up by Waterwise East and the Bathroom Manufacturers Association, which is an on-line, working example of the calculator used for Part G of the Building Regulations and the Code for Sustainable Homes.  It uses the methodology set out in the “Water Efficiency Calculator for New Dwellings.”  The water calculator contains information on water consumption for hundreds of products, enabling quick and easy specification, without the hassle of gathering data from several product manufacturers.

The water calculator allows the user to choose the water consumption target they want to work to, to select products from drop-down menus or manually enter product information and will identify whether the specified target has been met.  The results can be printed off with all product information and will generally provide all the information required by a Building Control Officer and/or Code for Sustainable Homes assessor.
